Dues are collected annually in January and are:
“Membership dues” help defray the costs of stationery, postage, and other clerical expenses in addition to funding the cost of programs and refreshments. The dues provide support of other cultural programs such as the historical programs & lectures as well as Iberia Performing Arts League musicals. Membership dues do not help to defray the costs of the symphony or qualify a member as a “Symphony Patron”.
Corporate and Individual sponsorships and occasionally grant money provide the Iberia Cultural Resources Association the funding to host the Acadiana Symphony Concerts. The annual Symphony Patron drive begins in November and ends in April. Click on the Patron Form here. Patrons donating $100 and up are invited to two patron parties celebrating the events. The first Patrons' Party in February or March, features delicacies and beverages donated by our wonderful area restaurants in New Iberia, Abbeville, and Lafayette. Classical music sets the ambiance of the evening in the historic Sliman Theatre.
The second Patrons’ Party is held immediately following the “Symphony Sunday in the Park” concert at one of our members’ homes. The Maestro and several members of the orchestra attend this afternoon social with sandwiches and sweets celebrating the fun atmosphere of the spring concert.
This “Symphony Patron Donation” is a separate donation from membership dues and lifetime membership does not qualify one as a symphony patron.
